America’s Team was earned on the field and never handed back, and that star means something to people who have never crossed the Red River. CeeDee Lamb is a true alpha and George Pickens makes at least one catch a week that gets replayed all evening. The nineties set a bar Dallas has refused to lower.
Fantasy-relevant players only. Quarterbacks, backs, receivers and tight ends, which is what HexMetrics prices. 2 of them sit inside the league's top 25, 3 inside the top 50, 4 inside the top 100.
HexScore rates a player against others at his own position, so the seven below are not added up: each is weighted by what its slot is worth to an offence, and the weights are in the last column.
Dallas rate 81.6 for roster strength, 3 of 32, which is the fourth-best skill group in football. Team Power, which reads the defense and the line as well, reads 61: 24 of 32. Pass defense ranks 31 of 32 and rush defense 29. That is a twenty-place gap between the two headline measurements on this page and it is the entire argument, in both directions.
CeeDee Lamb rates 98.5, 15 of 457. George Pickens rates 96.8, 23. Two receivers inside the league's top 25, which no other club in football has.
I believe a true alpha receiver bends an entire offense around him and that distributed rooms are overrated by aggregate measures, and this is the cleanest case for that view on the site. The first receiver slot carries 17% of the club figure and the second carries 12%, so a room like this one is priced properly here rather than averaged into the middle.
Quarterback 86.0, 76 of 457. First back 94.5, 35. Tight end 76.4. Flex 56.8. Second back 18.7.
16 rated players against a league average of 14.3, 3 of them inside the league's top 50. Six of seven slots above fifty-five, a west coast scheme at a 0.57 pass rate, tempo 1.09 against a league average of one, pass efficiency 0.76. There is nothing wrong with this offense on paper and the paper is this page.
The line ranks 12 of 32. I am sceptical of line rankings as a proxy for line play, having watched the two diverge in this building specifically, so I will report it and decline to build on it.
Pass defense z-scores at -1.67, 31 of 32. Rush defense -1.48, 29. Both bottom four. The forward-looking composite is dramatically kinder at 14 of 32, which is the middle, and that disagreement is seventeen places wide.
Team Power blends both sides and lands at 24 of 32. A fourth-ranked skill group and a twenty-fourth-ranked football team is not a contradiction, it is a description: this club is built on one half of the ball and the other half is measured in the bottom four twice.
12 of 17 games are played indoors, 2 of 32 and the second-most in football. Strength of schedule ranks 22 of 32 counting easiest first. The bye falls late in week 14. The value-weighted age is 27.2, 27 of 32, with only 5.3% of the rated talent under twenty-five, the lowest share in the league.
So here is the plain version, and then the narrow one. Plainly: this is one of the four best collections of skill talent in football, indoors, on a neutral schedule, and nobody outside this market wants to hear it. Narrowly: it is attached to a defense two measurements put in the bottom four and to a roster with the least youth in the league, which means this is the year rather than one of several. The gap between how this club is covered nationally and where it actually measures is worth writing about on its own, and it cuts both ways on the same page.
