Titletown is a matter of record rather than marketing: more championships won here than anywhere, and the trophy carries the name of the man who took the first of them. Josh Jacobs runs behind his pads and Tucker Kraft has become the sort of tight end defences plan around. Lambeau belongs to its shareholders, which is to say to the people in the seats.

How roster strength is built: the seven slots behind 78.1

HexScore rates a player against others at his own position, so the seven below are not added up: each is weighted by what its slot is worth to an offence, and the weights are in the last column.

The case for the 2026 season

Written before Week 1, and not revisited. Written 2026-08-21, before a single snap. Every result, injury and trade after kickoff is missing from it. Read it as a record of the argument rather than as a current one.

Eleventh in roster strength, one player in the top fifty, and a passing offense built to be hard to rank

Green Bay rate 78.1 for roster strength, 11 of 32, with 1 player inside the league's top 50 and 4 inside the top 100. The highest rated is Josh Jacobs at 94.5, 36 of 457, and the second is a tight end at 90.5. This is a distributed offense measured by a system that prices individuals, and the argument in this market for the last decade has been whether that distribution is a design or a shortage.

The shape, before the names

Quarterback 80.4. First back 94.5. Tight end 90.5. First receiver 84.9. Second receiver 74.5. Flex 64.3. Second back 24.4.

Five slots between sixty-three and ninety-five, one above, one well below. A west coast scheme at a 0.5 pass rate, which is an even split, with pass efficiency at 0.79 and a line at 11 of 32. The offense works. The individual ratings are the thing that will not sit still.

The receiver problem, which is a measurement problem

Christian Watson at 84.9, Matthew Golden at 74.5, Jayden Reed at 64.3. Three receivers inside twenty-two rating points of each other and none inside the league's top 50.

I am sceptical of individual receiver rankings in a scheme that rotates its personnel by design, and I believe a genuinely distributed passing offense is the hardest thing in football for a ranking to price. A model that reads production assigns a rotating room three medium ratings rather than one large one, and it does that whether the rotation is a strength or a symptom. It cannot tell the difference and neither, honestly, can a page.

What can be said without arguing with the number: the first receiver slot carries 17% of the club figure and this club does not have a player who takes that slot the way an alpha receiver does elsewhere in this division. That costs real rating points and it is the whole of the eleven.

The two positions that are not in question

Josh Jacobs at 94.5, 36 of 457, and Tucker Kraft at 90.5, 56. A lead back and a tight end both inside the top 100, with the tight end slot weighted at 13% of the figure, the same as the lead back.

Rush efficiency reads 0.71 behind the 11-ranked line. Tempo 0.98 against a league average of one. This is a club that can play at whatever speed the game asks for, and continuity at coordinator level is worth more than a talent upgrade, which is a thing I will say in a piece about talent because it is a thing I believe.

The season, inside the longer arc

The defense is the honest weakness. Pass defense ranks 23 of 32, rush defense 18, and the forward composite 26. Team Power reads 78, 16 of 32, which is a little above the roster figure and is doing so on the line rather than on the defense.

The value-weighted age is 26.1, 16 of 32, with 14.6% of the rated talent under twenty-five, which is a lower share than this market assumes. 13 of 17 games are outdoors, strength of schedule ranks 23 of 32 counting easiest first, and the bye is week 11.

So the case is an institutional one rather than a dramatic one, which is how they are usually made here. A top-eleven skill group with no weak starter, a top-eleven line, a quarterback the model has stopped hedging about at 80.4, and a receiver room that is either a design or a shortage and will be one or the other by December. This club does not need to win the argument to win the division. It needs the room to be a design.

What this page does not measure. HexMetrics measures fantasy-relevant offensive production. It does not measure defense beyond a pair of z-scores, line play beyond a rank, or coaching and special teams at all. A franchise record on a club page is history rather than a forecast: no rating is derived from it, and there are no playoff odds or win totals anywhere on this site.
