Silver and black reads identically in Oakland, Los Angeles and the desert, and the people wearing it followed every mile of it. Brock Bowers is rewriting what a tight end is allowed to be and Ashton Jeanty runs through arm tackles for sport. Just Win Baby was an instruction, never a tagline.

How roster strength is built: the seven slots behind 64.9

HexScore rates a player against others at his own position, so the seven below are not added up: each is weighted by what its slot is worth to an offence, and the weights are in the last column.

The case for the 2026 season

Written before Week 1, and not revisited. Written 2026-08-21, before a single snap. Every result, injury and trade after kickoff is missing from it. Read it as a record of the argument rather than as a current one.

The best tight end in football, a back in the top twenty, and the thirtieth-rated roster

Las Vegas have 2 players inside the league's top 25 of 457, which is more than most of the clubs ranked above them, and still rate 64.9 for roster strength, 30 of 32. Brock Bowers rates 99.5 at his position, 9 overall. Ashton Jeanty rates 97.6, 21. Everything between those two and the bottom of the lineup is where the ranking comes from, and I am going to argue about it.

Two players nobody ranks the club for

Brock Bowers at 99.5 is the highest-rated tight end in football and 9 of 457 rated skill players. Ashton Jeanty at 97.6 is 21. Two men inside the top 25, and the club sits 30 of 32.

I think a roster is judged by its best player more than by its median one, and I hold that whether or not a weighting agrees with me. A dominant tight end is a positional cheat code because he is a matchup nobody has a personnel group for, and the rankings systematically under-price one. The tight end slot here carries 13% of the club figure. I would weight it higher and I am telling you that is my view rather than the site's.

And here is the part I am not going to dodge

The receiver slots read 55.1 and 52.2, with the flex at 50.1. The second back reads 30.2. The quarterback slot reads 58.9 and carries 28% of the figure, the heaviest weight there is.

That is four of seven slots the model does not rate, and the line ranks 27 of 32 behind them. Rush efficiency 0.6, pass efficiency 0.64, tempo 0.88 against a league average of one. I am sceptical of consensus rankings generally and of ones that have this club near the bottom particularly, and none of that scepticism makes those seven numbers different.

The youngest thing in the league except one

Value-weighted age 23.9, 2 of 32 counting youngest first, and 67.1% of the club's rated talent held by players under twenty-five. Only one club in football is younger by that measure.

Two top-25 players and two thirds of the roster's rated talent under twenty-five is not a bottom-three situation, whatever the single number says. It is an unfinished one. The difference matters to anyone deciding whether to watch, and the ranking does not carry it because a ranking of this season cannot.

The claim, and I will sign it

11 of 17 games are played indoors, 5 of 32, which is among the most in football and suits a club that wants to throw and run fast rather than punt in weather. Strength of schedule ranks 18 of 32 counting easiest first. The bye is week 13. Defensively the backward pair reads 22 and 13, with the forward composite at 24. Team Power reads 57, 26 of 32.

So no, I am not telling you this is a Super Bowl roster this season, and anyone who says the number is simply wrong has not read it. What I am telling you is that a club with the best tight end in football, a top-twenty back, eleven indoor games and the second-youngest talent base in the league is one position away, and that the position is the one everybody already knows. Rank it thirtieth. It will not be thirtieth for long, and this fanbase has never needed permission to say so.

What this page does not measure. HexMetrics measures fantasy-relevant offensive production. It does not measure defense beyond a pair of z-scores, line play beyond a rank, or coaching and special teams at all. A franchise record on a club page is history rather than a forecast: no rating is derived from it, and there are no playoff odds or win totals anywhere on this site.
